World Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Awareness Week is taking place from 18th – 24th November 2025, to highlight the challenges of drug-resistant infections and showcase how we’re working together to improve this.
Join us at the University of Warwick for an evening featuring educational posters, games and engaging activities to find out more about the impact of antimicrobial resistance, the importance of the ongoing research at Warwick and steps that we can all take to help tackle this global problem.
Staff and students from the University will be leading activities such as handwashing technique and microscopy, demonstrations of scientific techniques, virtual reality exploration of drug targets as well as an opportunity to build your own model phage, from 4:30 – 7:00pm.
For those who would like to attend, there will be a free talk and demonstration from 3:30 - 4:30pm from Dr Claire Guest OBE from the Medical Detection Dogs, on how Medical Detection Dogs may play a key part of the team in the fight against AMR.
Please note that this event will discuss Antibiotic Resistant Infections and their impacts. Activities will be suitable for those aged 5+, and the talk is recommended for 14+ with an accompanying adult.
