Reflecting on the last year and our 25/26 Resonate Pledge

Resonate has had a very busy year! From Women’s Health in Central Coventry to medieval medics on campus, science experiments in Warwick Arts Centre foyer to books at Coventry Memorial Park, we’ve covered a lot of ground! Between August 2024 –July 2025 we welcomed over 5,700 members of our Resonate community to our events. Thank you to each and every person who came along, got involved and gave us feedback on your event experience. We’d also like to thank over 300 students and staff members at the University of Warwick who led activity or gave talks at these events.

We also officially launched ‘Shared By Resonate’ this year, sharing wonderful events organised by colleagues across University of Warwick. This meant we have been able to let you know about even more events happening in Coventry and Warwickshire.

Last Year’s Resonate Pledge

Last summer, we made our 24/25 Pledge. Here’s how we’ve worked towards those goals this year:

We’ll provide clear age ranges for individual activities to make planning your day at our festivals easier

·       Suitable age ranges listed on the website for all activities at Day Out events

·       Clear signage on the day for activities with strict age limits

·       We’ve been working with the staff running each activity to identify suitable age restrictions and guidance

We’ll provide more information in advance about parking, refreshments and facilities at both our university campus and local venues we are visiting for events

·       We’ve created detailed pre-Festival emails that outline where to park, what refreshments we’ll be providing and what facilities are available on the day

·       We’ve created better maps for festivals and ensured these are visible on the day, as well as sent out in advance.

·       When vising off campus venues, we link to their access and facilities information so you can see what to expect.

We’ll make it easier for you to share your ideas to help us design the best programme for our local community

·       We encouraged you to ‘help build our programme’ last year. Fill out this years form below!

·       We read every feedback card and online form. We really appreciate anyone who takes the time to fill these in and we take time to reflect on your thoughts

·       We’re working with community partners and venues to design events specifically for their audiences

We’ll work towards improving our online offering, including more interactive virtual events and launching “Resonate at Home” – activities, videos and more you can enjoy in your own time

·       We ran a hybrid event, allowing attendees to tune in from home

·       Videos and activities can be found under the ‘Resonate at Home’ tab above!

Everything we’ve highlighted here will continue to be implemented as we go into the 2025-2026 Resonate programme, and we’ll keep working to improve this. In addition, we’ve created a new pledge.

25/26 Pledge

We’re always looking to improve, so below we’ve highlighted three key things from your feedback this year that we’ll be working on for our 2025-2026 programme:

-          We’ll begin developing new programming for all ages, with a particular focus on activity for those aged under 5 and 11-17 years.

-          We’ll make it easier to navigate the University campus with improved signage around the events

-          We’ll continue to build relationships with our local partners to bring more Resonate events to you in your community

As always, we want to know what you’d like to see in the programme and how we can better connect with the community in Coventry and Warwickshire. If you have any ideas or feedback, click the link below and let us know! We’re particularly keen to hear what you’d like to see at events for 11-17 year olds and programming for under 5s.

While you might not see your ideas reflected in the programme straight away, we’ll take it all on board and consider your feedback during our long-term Resonate planning sessions.
