See the SUN

  • Butterworth Hall Warwick Arts Centre Coventry, England, CV4 7AL United Kingdom (map)

SUN is a touring light artwork, a 7m floating representation of our closest star. Through augmented reality, an interactive exhibition, music and audio clips come and explore the sun like never before.

In July, Butterworth Hall on the University of Warwick campus will be home to a 7m diameter depiction of the sun and you are invited to come and see it. Available to view on the afternoons/evenings of July 11th, 12th and 13th, book a free ticket to come and see it, take an envy-inducing selfie and just generally wonder at its marvel!

And while you’re marvelling, learn loads of interesting things about the sun with our collection of audio clips from staff and students at the University sharing how scientists use and learn about the sun, the sun in art, the sun as part of history, religion and culture. We have something for everyone.

Local buses offer a frequent and convenient way of travelling to and from campus. There are regular bus services to the University campus from Coventry city centre and Coventry rail station, with the journey taking about 30 minutes. Find details of routes here.
