'For Women, About Women' Public Film Screening

A public screening and panel discussion of a rare Ukrainian health education film on the topic of women’s health, 'For Women, About Women' (directed by Yevheniia Hryhorovych, 1930).

The event will showcase the pioneering ways in which Ukrainian artists and scientists have used film to bring public attention to questions of reproduction and women’s health. The screening will be accompanied by an original musical score by the sound artist, Jakob Metzger, and will be followed by a panel discussion with Prof. Nick Hopwood (Cambridge), Dr Rachel Morley (UCL), Dr Anna Toropova (Warwick) and Sophie Ahlemeyer (Warwick).

Please note, the film depicts pregnancy and birth, and includes diagrams of women's reproductive systems.

This event is suitable for those age 12+. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
