Imagining the Future with Coventry Biennial

As part of our ongoing collaboration with Coventry Biennial, we headed to The Herbert Art Gallery to deliver a workshop based on one of the artworks in this year’s exhibition.

‘Memories of a Future City’ is a painting by Coventry artist Paul Lemmon, made in collaboration with professor Graeme MacDonald . Inspired by this artwork, we asked our visitors to imagine what they thought the future would look like. We drew our ideas on small disks and hung them on the ‘Future Tree’, pictured above.

Graeme and Paul’s artwork can be seen in the Biennial exhibition at The Herbert Art Gallery and Museum until the 14th January 2024.

This event is part of the ESRC Festival of Social Science 2023 and was made possible thanks to funding from the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), which is part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI)
