The Big Read - Night

  • Warwick Arts Centre Coventry, England, CV4 7AL United Kingdom (map)

In collaboration with Kenilworth Bookshop and the first of our two-part celebration of all things reading and literature, The Big Read - Night is a chance to learn from authors and researchers about how they create their work, peppered with stories and anecdotes from their work. Hear from authors Penny Batchelor and Adam Wood as they share how they research and write crime fiction and true crime, and join Dr Ben Richardson (University of Warwick) and Professor Janet Ainley (University of Leicester) from the Leamington History Group on a journey of how to research and write local history. We will also be joined by members of the School of Modern Languages and Cultures here at the University of Warwick who will lead a discussion of how traditional tales are inflected by cultural difference and how far you should change or adapt tales.

British Sign Language interpretation included. This event is recommended for ages 18+. Ages 14+ are welcome to attend with an accompanying adult.
